Thank you, too, to the people who use my Amazon affiliate links and other mechanisms to provide support. Using an Amazon affiliate link does not increase your cost. I simply get a very tiny commission for helping to direct buyers to Amazon. Last year, all the affiliate commissions totaled less than $100. The affiliate program is helpful but certainly not lucrative!
I know that even just $5 may look like it doesn’t do much good, but surprisingly, it does. For example, a few small donations help to cover the cost of a domain registration. The CDN I use to make the site work more smoothly for visitors costs a minimum of $1 a month.
Site hosting is the biggest single cost at about $150/year. While I could host more inexpensively, the service I get from Namecheap.com has been quite good. I think it is worth the expense.
